OBDF311: Project 1 Proposal

 For project one, I want to create an abstract 3D painting that features flowy movement and vibrant color. I will be using a combination of digital and fine arts practices such as painting/clay or modelling paste and 3D modelling in rhino 3D. My process will start with designing the 3D painting in rhino, laser cutting the desired frame or shapes, possibly sculpting with modelling paste and mesh wire, finishing with painting the physical model. I plan to create a small prototype of the work to weave out any possible errors or difficulties before I create the final work. I am not sure exactly how I want the work to look like in the end and am still deciding between a more sculpture or layered form.
